Primary Care Triple P

Primary Care Triple P is a brief face-to-face intervention with a primary care provider (from areas such as child and community health, education, allied health, child care, etc.).  Approximately four individual consultations with parents/caregivers of approximately 50 minutes.  Uses tip sheets and the Positive Parenting Booklet to reinforce strategies.

It is targeted counseling for parents/caregivers of a child with mild to moderate behavioral difficulties.  It is available for parents/caregivers of children from birth to 12 years.  Level 3 interventions deal with a specific problem or issue.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

TF-CBT is a components-based model of psychotherapy that addresses the unique needs of children with PTSD symptoms, depression, behavior problems, and other difficulties related to traumatic life experiences. It can work in as little to 12 sessions and is made up of the following components: psychoeducation and parenting skills, relaxation, affective expression and regulation, cognitive coping, trauma narrative, in vivo gradual exposure, conjoin parent/child session, and safety and future development.

The California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare gives TF-CBT an evidence research supported scientific rating of 1, or well supported, and relevance level of High.
